We are Eden Soap Company, a family-owned business, proudly making all of our soaps in the USA! We are passionate about creating natural, artisan, handmade soap that is enriched with Irish sea moss gel. Our soap is good for your skin and the environment.

Our soaps are made in small batches, carefully crafted using natural, hand-picked ingredients. It's our belief that everyone deserves healthy products, which is why we take great care in producing top-quality, nutrient-rich soaps.

People are switching to natural soaps that nourish and cleanse your skin using natural ingredients without the many harsh chemicals or synthetic surfactants found in commercial soaps. These toxins can be absorbed into our bodies, causing havoc inside and out, including inflammation, allergic reactions, cell degradation, and hormone disruption.

Our soaps are intentionally free from soy and soybean products, corn and rice oils or milks, sulfates and sulfites, parabens, animal fats, tocopherol, phthalates, fillers, preservatives, detergents, propylene glycol and other petro- or synthetic chemicals.

Why Irish Sea Moss Gel:
Inside many plants on land and sea, hidden in roots, seeds, fruits, flowers, leaves, bark, and even seaweed, are concentrated, highly potent natural compounds which can be pressed or distilled into oils and gels from the petals of the flower, the leaves of the plant, the tubular of the seaweed, the fibers of the fruits and seeds, the rinds of the fruit, or the resin of the tree. Direct from the earth's gardens, these compounds can then be used topically to obtain each plant's unique aromatic and beneficial nutrient properties.

Irish Sea Moss is not actually moss, but an iodine-rich algae that grows abundantly along the Atlantic coasts of North America, Europe and the British Isles. Known as "the miracle of the sea", this tufted seaweed contains 92 of the 102 essential trace minerals our bodies need daily. Adding it to our soap gives a rich, silky lather that softens and nourishes your skin.

our beginnings:
Our craft began with our Scottish grandmother and her sister, who lived on the south shore of Boston along the rocky Atlantic coastline. Summers were spent at the beach collecting natural ingredients like sea moss, kelp and saltwater from the ocean and bay shorelines to infuse in our family's soap making recipes, handed down from generations of self-sufficient Highlanders.

Working for a prominent global skin care company for more than 12 years, we thought we were providing the best quality products on the market. Our family and friends were dedicated to using these commercial products that promised to be the best soaps, shampoos and lotions available for skin and hair.
However, after years of continued use of these trusted products, we noticed a degradation of our skin and came to the realization that the synthetics and chemicals in these products were actually harming our skin.

The soaps and lotion we put on your bodies don't just disappear or evaporate - they get absorbed into your pores and into your bloodstream. Our bodies were constantly being bombarded with chemicals we couldn't even pronounce that caused damage inside and out.
​
We had to make a huge change in how we treated our skin and hair. So we decided to try making our own soaps, resurrecting the traditional methods and recipes taught to us by our Scottish Granny and Auntie. We were committed to using only natural ingredients, particularly those we had learned to collect from nature's bountiful underwater ocean gardens during those long ago summers.

That's why the key ingredient in our soaps is Irish sea moss gel, though we like to call it Scottish sea moss gel! We make the sea moss gel by hand according to the ways handed down by our Highland past. The amazing results were worth it - our skin improved immediately!
